CQUniversity works on language and cultural awareness with migrants and refugees

CQUniversity Sydney has been providing a community outreach program for migrants and refugees, helping them to develop their communication skills, language competence and cultural awareness.

Academic Learning Adviser and program creator Ruth O’Neill says the classes aim to build participants’ confidence through functional communication, enabling them to participate socially and economically in society.

The program produced at CQUniversity has been implemented to improve the conditions of other human beings, in particular in the context of the current world refugee crisis.
