A new app developed by researchers from ANU gives hay fever sufferers in Canberra daily updates and pollen level forecasts to help them avoid aggravating their allergies.
Project leader, ANU Professor Simon Haberle, thinks an app like this could improve the performance of people in the workplace and children at school, who can be significantly affected by hay fever symptoms. The app also provides valuable data on the changes in atmospheric pollen due to climate change and land use.
The app will give daily reports and six-day forecasts of pollen activity until the end of December.
